Open the calendar section in Settings. A calendar is optional. You can capture tasks and use timers without connecting one.
Apple calendars on iPhone
Select the calendars DoWat should use and allow calendar access. DoWat reads their appointments without changing them. The selection applies to this iPhone.
If you previously denied permission, enable it in iPhone Settings, then check your calendar selection in DoWat again.
Google Calendar
Sign in to DoWat first. When the Google connection is available, choose Connect Google, confirm access, and select your calendars. Check the preview before saving.
This connection is shared through your DoWat account. You can use the same selection on another device. If that device already uses Apple calendars or an ICS link, explicitly switch it to Google.
The Google connection reads calendars. It does not reserve time in Google. Writing calendar blocks is a separate feature.
Use a calendar link
Under More connections: ICS and CalDAV, enter a private ICS subscription link. Your calendar provider usually lists it under sharing or subscription settings.
Treat this link like a password: someone who has it may be able to read your appointments. Do not share it in public messages.
The link stays on this device. To fetch events, it is sent to the DoWat server, which returns the calendar entries.
If appointments are missing
Check the selected calendars, the connection, and the date you are viewing. Google changes are refreshed periodically while you use DoWat and may not appear immediately. Reconnect Google if DoWat asks you to sign in again.
A local Apple or ICS selection takes priority over the shared Google selection. This lets you choose the calendar source separately on each device.
