A short description is enough. Try **Pick up a parcel** or **Prepare a
presentation, 45 min, important**. A duration and priority help, but are optional.

## Text DoWat understands

| Detail | Examples |
| --- | --- |
| Duration | `15 min`, `1.5h`, `two hours` |
| Priority | `urgent`, `important`, `someday` |
| Repeat | `daily`, `every Monday`, `weekdays` |
| Area | `personal`, `privat` |

Check the title and detected details before adding the task. You can edit it
afterwards. Normal capture does not need AI.

## Capture from another app view

Use **+** in the top navigation to open quick capture, even during a focus
block. On a computer, press **C** when you are not typing in an input field.
**Esc** closes the window.

## Dictate a task

The microphone button puts recognised speech into the input field. It does
not add the task without review. Allow microphone and speech-recognition
access when asked, then correct the text before adding it.

Availability depends on your device and browser. On iPhone, DoWat uses native
speech recognition. You can type without granting those permissions.

## Use AI assistance

Configure an available AI connection in **Settings** if you want suggestions.
Before a request, you can see the provider and whether it uses your own API
key or your included allowance.

AI can split tasks into smaller steps. Review the suggestions; they are only
added after you confirm them.

**Help me start** suggests one small first action for a task without existing
steps. You can ask for a smaller step or begin with a timer. The suggestion
does not change the task's time estimate.
