A scheduling suggestion in DoWat does not reserve an event in your calendar.
To show that time as busy to others, write your day plan through a separate
CalDAV connection.

## Set up the connection

You need a DoWat account, the CalDAV address of **one calendar**, and its
credentials. Your provider may require an app password. An account-level
calendar address or an ICS subscription link is not enough for writing.

In **Settings**, configure the connection for writing blocks. Choose a calendar
where DoWat is allowed to create events.

## Protect the day

Open the planned day and choose **Protect day** to write its blocks into the
connected calendar. This happens when you ask, not after every task-list change.

DoWat writes focus blocks and claimed short slots. If **Protect buffers** is
enabled, it includes buffers too. Existing meetings are not changed.

## Check the result

Read DoWat's response, then check your calendar. If the provider rejects an
entry, that block is not reserved yet. Check the calendar address, password,
and write permissions.

Writing the same block again should not create a duplicate. DoWat recognises
its own entries when reading the calendar, so they do not count as extra meetings.

## Remove the connection

Disconnect it in Settings. This does not automatically remove events that
are already in your calendar.
